Give some of them a bit of a plug in this blog (during this lull, while we wait to start up again) to acknowledge them for the difference they make to us and let you all know what they do to help keep us going.
Yarra Ranges Council have provided Catprint with ongoing 'in-kind' access to The Arts Centre in Warburton to use for our performances. They provide us with all the tech and front of house support we need to make it all happen. Catprint also receives a % of the ticket sales as well, which we use to go towards our next show and pay our bills. The Arts Centre has become our home base and we love performing there for the local community. They have also assisted us to take our shows to The Memo in Healesville where practicable, which is always a fantastic experience for our cast.
The Small Grants program has also aided us greatly over the years too, by allowing us to purchase big ticket items we wouldn't normally have the funds for. This includes things like; crew and production team t-shirts, equipment and new advertising banners. This year they were kind enough to help us with a donation towards our storage costs as we have had to put everything on hold due to COVID.
For 9 years Upper Yarra Community Enterprise have generously sponsored Catprint with enough money to pay from anywhere between 50-80% of our production costs for any given year. This covers a wide range of show expenses from Licence fees to costume hire, buying new make-up and transport costs. They have been an integral part of Catprint since its inception and it is a great testament to the success of Community Banking at its finest. We are grateful for their ongoing support and in return are very proud to bank with them.
We like to shop local for our set supplies and we are always very thankful to the team at Warburton True Value Hardware for the discount they offer Catprint on our purchases. If they don't have what we need they order it in for us in a flash, and if it doesn't fit in my car, they send it up to my place in one of their trucks. Too easy! It has saved us a lot of money over the years and helped allow us to create some awesome sets. Their donations to our trivia night prize pool were also generous and amazing.
Our newest partner is Fresh Promotions who have manufactured for us these AMAZING Catprint Theatre Company embossed lapel badges, using our logo, at an unbelievable price. We will be selling them super cheap next year for fundraising, to celebrate our 10th anniversary. Watch out for them & be sure to grab one, as we only have a limited number available.
